George Lara - REALTOR®

Hello There! My name is George Lara, I was born and raised in the great state of Texas. I grew up in El Paso, Texas, with a loving and supportive family. I played soccer all my life, which led me to receive a soccer scholarship to Concordia University in Nebraska. I would later finish my college career at UT Permian Basin with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. 

Before moving to Austin I lived in New York City for five years where I was first introduced to Sales as a Fitness trainer.  This sales role allowed me to work with many professionals from all over the world. I obtained clients such as editors from the New York Times, Bankers, Lawyers, Chefs, etc., and worked hard to build and follow road maps to help my clients reach their goals – that is what I loved most about training.  I enjoyed the city life and the fast pace environment that came with it, my gym location was in the middle of Times Square, so it was always an adventurous day. Although living in New York City taught me many great things about Sales, and creating great relationships, I always knew I wanted to move back to my home state to plant my roots and build something for myself.

After my soccer career in college, I started coaching in competitive youth programs, this continued when I moved to New York City.  I now have over 12 years of coaching experience, and currently, I still coach for Barça Academy Austin. It is during these years where I developed a passion to connect with players, to guide them not only to be great soccer players but to be honest, hardworking human beings.  I have gained a strong reputation for being committed, trustworthy, dependable, and a role model with the many families I have worked with.  I truly enjoy meeting people and being able to create relationships that lasts a lifetime.

Being a Realtor and owning major real estate has been a life goal and desire of mine, especially after being inspired by the many skyscrapers in NYC. Now that I’m with JBGoodwin Realtors® I will use my drive and competitive background to help you Sell, Buy, Rent or Lease a Home.  I am committed to continually providing my clients with up-to-date market information, expert advice, and a comprehensive service that will make your real estate experience an enjoyable one. 

When not hard at work, you can find me playing soccer in the Austin Men’s Soccer League, hiking, running, and fishing, or exploring Austin’s restaurants and comedy shows.  I look forward to meeting with you!
